About our home

Nice suburbian 3 bedroom house near the center of Brussels and close to the airport.
Our house is cosy and has all the modern facilities: living room, dining room and an open kitchen with all modern facilities on the first floor. We also have a nice wood stove for cold winter days.
A staircase leads to first floor where you have a bathroom (one with shower and bath) and two large bedrooms: one with a double bed, another with 1 single bed (sleeps one adult or child).
On the second floor you will find one more bedroom with a double bed and a small studyroom.
In the garage is space for one car and we have also have our bikes stored in there.
At the back we have a nice terrace with outside furniture and a small garden, south orientated.

More about us

My husband and I are both in our fourty's. We are both teachers in different schools in Brussels.
We have joined "home for exchange" on recommandation of a friend. We have had lots of great experiences so far.
We have two children (Lewis 21 and Elise 13 years old). We love our house in Brussels, our lovely neighboors and childfriendly area, the parc nearby and off course Brussels itself: a metropolitan city that has a lot to offer....

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our house is situated in a "cul-de-sac" which means there are hardly any cars in the street and therefor the neighbourhood is very childfriendly.
It is situated in a commune called EVERE, which is part of the city of Brussels. We are about 30 min. away from the city center by tramway (which you can catch at 2 minutes walking distance from our doorstep) You could also get a bus into town or simply take the car.
We are very close to Belgium's national airport Zaventem, about 15 min. drive by car or public bus.
At 1 min. walking distance we have a huge park with great walks. There's also bicycle and walking routes. We will give you lots of information on the city of Brussels and surrounding area.
There is a lot to do and see in Brussels but also other cities ar closeby: Leuven, Ghent, Bruges, Antwerp,....
You will find all main facilities in our town at walking distance from our house. Buses/trains and tramways go regularly into Brussels city center and other main cities of Belgium.
A perfect place if you want to discover our tiny but pretty country!
