“We absolutely loved our stay at Inge's apartment in Gent. It was the perfect location for the train station and for walking around the city. Gent's location in Belgium, makes it the perfect homebase to visit everything. Inge was so helpful - she even picked us up from the train station. She communicated promptly and answered all of our questions. If we ever return to Gent, we would not hesitate to stay at her place.”

On the 5th floor you will find my totally new renovated apartement with all modern comfort. It is small, but still spacious, cosy and very practical. There are big windows so there is a lot of light. You will have a wonderful view overlooking Ghent on the spacious, sunny terrace.
The apartement is in a save and quite neighbourhood.
It is a great location for visiting Ghent by foot.
I have also 2 bikes you can use.
Train station (Dampoort) is a 10 min walk.
There are several bus stops in my street.
Why choose Ghent for a weekend trip?
Vibrant Ghent offers a fascinating cultural cocktail brimming with trendy, modern urban life. Ghent is a city where people enjoy life: a chilled-out place where anything goes and a city that feels human. Its friendly, welcoming people love the good life. Don’t miss the chance to admire the world-famous masterpiece—the Mystic Lamb by the Van Eyck brothers—during your weekend trip.
Lonely planet:
Asking citizens of Ghent what they think of their city is a pointless exercise: you’ll find only unanimous love. And with good reason. Ghent (www.visitgent.be) is one of Europe’s greatest discoveries – small enough to feel cosy but big enough to stay vibrant. It has enough medieval frivolity to create a spectacle but retains a gritty industrial edge that keeps things ‘real’. Tourists remain surprisingly thin on the ground, yet with its fabulous canalside architecture, wealth of quirky bars and some of Belgium’s most fascinating museums, this is a city you really won’t want to miss.
Why choose Ghent for a longer trip:
Ghent is the heart of Flanders, between Brussels and the coast, and equidistant from Antwerp and the French border.
Visit the website www.visitflanders.com, which offers plenty of information about our historic art cities, the Flemish coast and gastronomy, among other things.

“I stayed at Inge's for almost a month and it has been great. Inge was easy to get in touch with. The apartment is located between two canals right in the center of town and allows you to get easily around, be it on foot or by tram/bus. It is also very quiet and has a wonderful little terrace. Inside it is full of light, very calm, and comes with all necessary appliances. Ghent itself is a great place to be and is filled with little cafés and sightseeing opportunities. Last but not least, you can reach all major cities in Belgium within one hour train, Brussels in just half an hour. Highly recommended!”
“Inge's light filled, well equipped apartment was the perfect location to enjoy the city of Ghent. Inge met us at the station and took us to her home where we found all the basics we could need to settle into our new home. We would love to return on another occasion.”
“Who does not know Ghent must not hesitate! Coming to Inge allows you to discover all facets of this exciting city; the apartment is perfect on all points. The communication with Inge is remarkable, all her attentions are very nice.”
“My daughter and I stayed in Inge's apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Inge was a amazing host and her apartment even more beautiful than the photographs. She gave us a lot of local tips and made us feel very welcome. The apartment is very central and close to the station. I can highly recommend this apartment and wonderful host. It was also easy and quick to take day trips from there to different cities and towns in Belgium. Would go back there anytime!”
“Until 6 months ago when we looked at places to stay, we had never even heard of Gent. It is a city that everyone should visit. A worthy rival to nearby Bruge, which we also visited. How lucky we were that Inge allowed us to stay in her fabulous apartment overlooking the river on one side and the rooftops and spires of the churches on the other. We were greeted by a lovely friend of Inge to get the keys. She was waiting for us to arrive and helped by suggesting the best places to park nearby as the city is largely pedestrian and cyclist zones. The apartment was spotlessly clean and more spacious than it looked in the pictures and accommodated our little family well. All communication before and during the stay was fabulous and there were information leaflets and maps in the apartment ready for us to explore. Inge even kindly went the the trouble of posting back a few items of clothing that were left in the wardrobe. Thoroughly recommended as it is so close to the main sights of this beautiful city. ”
“It was a very good experience staying at Inge's apartment! There you will find all amenities you need and a very convenient location to explore Gent! Inge was super responsive and communication was easy! We definitely recommend it and hope to come back at some point! Adriano & Amanda ”
