About our home

Our spacious house was built in 1964 and renovated last year. It has everything you need. On the first floor there is an office room, the kitchen with all amenities (dishwasher, micro-wave, oven, etc), a large living room, a separate toilet and the large hall. In the cellar, there is a washing room with a washing machine and a separate storage room. On the first floor, there is a bathroom with bath tub and shower, one very large master bedroom with separate desk and two smaller bedrooms. On the second floor there are two large bedrooms. On the third floor there is an attic. There is also a garage and possibility to use the bicycles. There is a large garden to play. The house is very closely situated to the city centre (can be reached by bicycle, tram or bus, the tram and busstop are a 5 minute walk away) and the main train station of the beautiful city of Ghent. There are a lot of opportunities in Ghent to visit historical or contemporary sites and since it is a city popular with families, there are a lot of possibilities for children as well. In the nearby country side, there are lots of opportunities for beautiful bike rides, boat tours and walks. Other historical cities like Antwerp, Bruges, Tournai and Brussels can be reached easily, since it is only 5 minutes ot walk to the main train station of Ghent. Belgian food can be qualified as French food in German portions and the city is a food lovers hotspot, with also many cultural options for festivals, concerts, art, etc.

Where is it?

The neighbourhood is very calm and quiet, even though the city centre is just 10 minutes away by bike or tram. Since it is a side street, only traffic which specifically has to be in that street, is present. There are two supermarkets close by, a tram and bus stop, the main train station of Ghent is in 5 minutes walking distance. From this station, Ghent-Sint-Pieters, all the art cities (Antwerp, Bruges, Tournai, Brussels, etc) can be very easily reached, as well as the coast or the Ardennes. The contemporary art museum (S.M.A.K) and the Musem for Fine Arts (where you can currently see the restauration of the Lam Gods by Van Eyck) is in 10 minutes walking distance. For those with a car, you will see that the main highways (E17/E40) are also very close by.
