About our home

The city GENT is really worth seeing (7th on the lonely planet list of places to visit in 2011).
GENT is very near to BRUGES and BRUSSELS (both 55km). You drive 1 hour to see the sea.

Laurent and I like living in our house, and we hope to exchange this enthusiasm with you.

More about us

  1. I'm 33 years old, I give workshops about diversity and globalisation to children between 6 years and 12 years old (studio globo).

My friend Laurent, also 33 years old, works in the human resources of a public hospital in Brussels. He speaks French, I speak Flamish, so little by little we both are becoming bilingual (like our country...)

We love to travel, to go to a nice bar, a nice restaurant, to see theatre, or a good movie. We enjoy life!

Where is it?

Our house in Gent, is situated in a multicultural neighbourhood: There is a Turkish bakery besides the house, on the opposite side of the road is a very good Marocan butcher, there are a lot of stores in the street where you can find anything you want. ...everything on maximum 5 minutes walking...opened till 19h or 20h in the evening...

The centre of the town is about 15-20 minutes walking, we always take the bike, and that takes us 5 minutes. We also have a tandem (bike for 2 persons). It's possible to use the bike and the tandem if you want.
The bus stops in front of the house (also 5 minutes to the centre). We don't have a car - Gent is made to explore by bike or by foot.
