About our home
We welcome you in our family home: a contemporary-renovated historic watermill. It is the place we have always returned to while living abroad with our 4 children, now young adults., and it is still our favourite place to relax and reconnect.
The location in a protected landscape is perfect to spend some time away from it all and enjoy nature in autumn, winter, spring or summer. Walking and cycling trails literally start at the front door. Go for a morning run, take the dog for a walk, go cycling, ...
The university town of Leuven is at a convenient 13 km away. And the central location in Belgium make it a perfect place for day-trips to Brussels, Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, ...
The house has 4 bedrooms, each with a double bed, and 2 bathrooms, It has a cosy living room with a huge sofa. A well equipped open-plan kitchen and a dining area with a large recycled teak dining table make it perfect for family vacations. The living area has a 6 meter high window to the terrace and garden. Kids are welcome. Dogs too (there are 2 dog pens in the garden).
The house is available throughout the year, except for the months of December and June-July.

Our house is located in a protected landscape, with several walks and bike trails starting at the doorstep. The medieval castle of Horst is a 3 km walk thropugh the fields away.
University town of Leuven, with one of the oldest universities of Europe (1425), is at 13 km. Brussels, the capital of Europe at 30 km.
Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent, plenty of choices for day-trips .
