About our home

My husband and I live in a lovely, century-old (1923) but already partly refurbished house in Jette. It has a sous-sol with kitchen and diner, a living room and office space on the ground floor, a bathroom with shower, bath tub, two wash basins and a WC (there is a separate WC as well between ground floor and first floor) and the master bedroom on the first floor and two more bedrooms on the second floor. It also has a small (50m²) garden.

More about us

  1. My husband and I only got married in July 2010, though We had known each other long before (about 10 years)! We have moved to Brussels in August 2011, but it already feels like we have lived here all our lives: we love it!
We like to travel, see new places and meet new people. We're always in for a good dinner or a drink with friends or family. We also like to dance (especially tango).
We speak Dutch, English, French and German.

Neighbourhood

The house is located in a one-way street with ample parking space, next to the church of Jette. On Sundays, there is a huge market on the square in front of the church.

There are lots of trams and buses that pass by this square (just 100 metres from our front door), but you can also walk to the metro (about 5-10'). You don't need a car to get around here, but if you have one, you can park for free in our street.

We are close to the Atomium, the Heizel, several cinema's, plenty of nice restaurants and bars, the basilica of Koekelberg and Brussels' city centre (preferably take the metro, it takes less than 10'!)
