About our home
This very modern, newly equipped huge appartment of 130 m2 is in opposite of the main Casino, 150 meter from the North Sea in the heart of the "city of Queens" in Belgium Oostende. Excellent location 750 meter from the central station, 100 meter from the nearest bus-and tram stop. The "Coast Tram" connects the whole coast line from Knokke till De Panne (60 km of coast) with 58 stops. (beautiful hiking, mountainbike routes in the dunes) You are near the beach, but at the same time you are in the centre of Western Europe, 30 km from the Venice of the North Bruges, 50 km from historical Ghent, 100 km from the capital Brussels, 275 km from Amsterdam, 270 km from London and 300 km from Paris. All connected by railways and highways.

“We had a lovely exchange. The apartment is spacious, modern and close to the beach. There is a lot to do nearby or within a short drive. We visited the beautiful city Bruges for example, only 30 min drive. It can also be reached by train form Oostende. I can highly recommend Geert and Svetlana as exchange partners!”

We are sportive Belgian family (50 years and 47 years) with 3 children of 23, 15 and 10 years old. Our oldest son Quinten has now 2 virtual reality arcades in Antwerp and Ghent and is quite busy with expanding his business. I am active in the feed business in Belgium and Kazakstan. My hobby's are mountainbike, road bike, mini-football and running. My wife Svetlana is Kazakh (with Chinese roots), her hobby's are photography, running, hiking and we are happily married for 25 years now and living in the Belgian country side near Antwerp. The daughter Ulyana studies science-mathematics and dreams to be a vet. She plays field hockey and does crossfit. The youngest Nathan is playing football. All the children play classical piano.

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
Your are in the touristic center of the city, 100 meter away from the central tourist information centre, 150 meter away from the coast line. You can walk on the beach 40 km to the west and back, not leaving the beach.
At the same time you are 250 meters away from the central shopping street and the local fish restaurants and bars.
