“What a welcome we had at David\'s and Sophie house! Our escapade in Brussels was simply magic! The house, pretty and welcoming, is situated near the city center. Sophie and David had prepared for us several documents to facilitate our visits. And all year round, it was a pleasure to communicate with them to plan the exchange. Thank you to you two!”
Sophie's reviewsAs a host (4)
“We have just come back from a great exchange with Sophie and David and their children in Brussels. The house is beautiful and comfortable with easy connection to the city center and the main Train Stations. Sophie and David were excellent hosts and very easy to deal. Brussel is an interesting city, with many attractions: excellent parks, and interesting museums. The whole region is great we visit the nice Brugge, Antwerpen and Leuven. It's very easy move us by train, and the landscape is fantastic. We are very happy to have chosen this exchange.”
“This house is very comfortable and cute, very clean and with everything you need. It's in a great position to visit the city center by car or bus/tram/metro. It's also very quick and easy to reach the highway if you want to visit other cities (Brugge, Gent, Antwerpen, Leuven, Mechelen)! It's in a very quiet area and there's everything you need in the neighborhood: market, bakery etc. This family is very kind and available! We spent a great holiday!!”
“Séjour de fin d'année réussi jolie petite maison "typiquement" Bruxelloise confortable et agréable à la fois presque "à la campagne" et à deux pas du coeur de Bruxelles nous avons pu faire connaissance avec Sophie, David et Sam et Thea avant de nous envoler pour Charleroi. C'était pour nous notre deuxième échange "international" toujours aussi riche.”
Where is it?
I often call our area "the village". It's a great place for our girls to grow up: very peaceful, safe , child friendly and quiet. It might be surprising to hear the cock-a-doodle-doos in the city but we love the feeling of tranquility while living in a European capital. Kids will not get bored: plenty of playgrounds, a little farm, 2 cultural centres, a small forest, .. all in a few minutes walking from our home. Take the bikes and you'll be in the countryside in a few moments. But also, in +/- 20 minutes (by public transport, bus and tram stops closeby), you'll be in the centre of Brussels visiting the magnificent Grand Place, musée Magritte and Manneken pis. Eating Belgian waffles, Belgian Fries or tasting all kinds of chocolate. Brussels is a great place to visit. But as we're well located, you'll easily get to Antwerp, Bruges or Gent, or even Amsterdam and Paris. By car, you're just one hour away from the beach. And after a day filled with culture and history, you'll be happy to come home and relax with a fresh Belgian(!) beer in the garden!
