About our home

We have just moved to our new house in Sterrebeek, only 10 kms away from the heart of Brussels.
We are so happy here; our villa is conveniently located and offers so much space and light (even on a very grey day).

The house boasts 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 1 playroom with full of toys your kids will surely enjoy!
After a long day of visits, you can relax in our Finnish sauna or take a dive in our private heated swimming pool...

There are 4 buses stopping almost at our doorstep: 2 bus lines will bring you directly downtown (North Station/Madou) in more or less 30 minutes - the other 2 buses will take you directly to the underground (metro station Kraainem) in 10 minutes. We can't exchange cars unfortunately but we are convinced you will not need any!

Detailed description of our home:
Street level:
- Garage + outside spaces for a least 2 cars
- Utility room with washing machine and dryer

Ground floor:
- nice and peaceful south-oriented garden with heated swimming pool
- large dining and sitting room nicely decorated in our favourite red and black
- fully equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, oven, dishwasher...)
- 1 bathroom including sauna and toilet
- 1 bedroom + 1 playroom

First floor:
- 1 bedroom with ensuite bathroom
- 1 master bedroom with a nice terrace overlooking the swimming pool
- 1 separate shower room
- 1 toilet

We have a flat screen tv downstairs and a Mac computer on the first floor (Wifi also available). We also have netflix connected on every screen...

We are sure that you will feel at home here and will want to come back!

More about us

  1. Romuald is 41 and Valérie is 37.we both work full time. Romuald is a graphic artist and works for Echo, a famous financial newspaper in Belgium. He comes from France. I work for a major international institution in Brussels in HR. Originally I studied translation English and Spanish and am very keen to discover other cultures (especially when I can use one of the languages I speak namely English, Spanish and Dutch - French being my mothertongue). I also hold a pedagogic degree. I am very proud of my Irish origins (my grandmother was born and bred in Tralee, County Kerry)

We are a peaceful, open-minded couple and we enjoy relaxing during our holidays as well as visiting interesting monuments and sites. We like going for long strolls together and talk about the future and our plans.

We have a beautiful, well-behaved 8 year-old, Gabriel and a second smiling little boy called Mathias born in April 2014.They would be travelling with us wherever we go.

We are very respectful and serious people. We expect our exchange friends to be the same and value our home as if it was theirs. We already exchanged twice and we would like to repeat this with our family!

Where is it?

Sterrebeek is a green town located just outside Brussels and all its facilities. It is a very safe, residential and green neighbourhood. There is a new park just behind with a jogging trail, playground, basket ball field and football pitch.

At the same time, the access to public transport is super easy (bus connections to city center in 30 minutes, underground 10 minutes by bus). We are 10 minutes away from Brussels international airport.

There is a large avenue (Chaussée de Malines) full of shops at less than 10 minutes by foot where you will find grocery stores, chemist, butchers, restaurants, etc.

You can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city without really disconnecting completely from it.
