About our home

We offer a semi-detached house with a 600m² garden on top of a high hill in the city of Brussels. You get the best of both world: city life with fresh air. The house was built in 1950 and entirely renovated in 2008. There is an electric piano/synthetiser and a ping pong table.

More about us

My name is Marc and I'm an Architect. I am a Belgian and U.S. Citizen. My wife Leslie works for the Union of International non-profit organisations. We have a 12yr-old son and a 8yr-old daughter. We are a non-smoking family, and we have no pets. (Due to allergies, we're sorry but we can not exchange with families who have cats or dogs). We have exchanged homes last summer for the first time and we really enjoyed it. We have lived in North Carolina and in California. Nous parlons aussi le Français! A Bientôt!

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are ideally located in Uccle, within the Brussels city boundaries, but very close to green spaces. The neighborhood is very quiet, and public transportation is available to reach the center in 20 min. In Brussels there is the European Parlement, Many Museums (Art, History, instruments, comics...), the Atomium monument, 17th century architecture in the "Grand Place", Art Nouveau (Horta Museum), Many great restaurants and shops. From Brussels, you can reach Paris by train in 1h20', London in 1h50' and Amsterdam in less than 1 hr.
