Beautifully renovated 2 storey town house in tropical gardens and a few metres from the beach. Many friends called it paradise!
Downstairs consists of an open plan livng room, kitchen/ dining room with all large and small appliances e.g. toaster, blender and a small outdoor terrace out the back with adjoining laundry room. There’s also a separate toilet off the living room.
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with a double bed and overhead mosquito net. Each bedroom has their own ensuite bathroom and private balcony with a hammock and views to the ocean.
Decorated and furnished to a European standard but with local handmade furnishings. The walls and floors are neutral throughout giving it an airy feeling with a touch of warmth from the use of wood on the high ceilings and windows and doors.
The house is set in communal gardens and a small condo of 9 houses with an onsite caretaker. The other owners are from Brazil, Italy and Portugal.
The beach is in a residential area so quiet but there are beach bars just a 5 min walk away from quaint to family to trendy bars with DJ's.
If you don't want to relax all day long there are places along the beach offering watersports such as kite surfing, kayaking. Also nearby stables if you want to go horse riding. If you want to run or enjoy long walks you won't be disappointed, the beach stretches out 15km taking you to the village of Trancoso. There is also the largest water park in South America just 2km away!
The house is located in the pretty chic village of Arraial D'Ajuda. It's 2.5km from the centre which offers great shops, restaurants and night life plus you're necessities e.g bank, supermarket etc. To get there you can either walk along the beach or take a bus from outside the condominium. They pass every 5-10 minutes and cost 1eur.
The larger town of Porto Seguro is just 4km away, a 1.5km walk or bus journey to the ferry and then a short 5-10 minute crossing. Make sure you cross at sunset, it's beautiful. The ferry runs 24hours per day so you always have the choice of both places.
Porto Seguro is a town rich in history with beautiful colonial houses, churches and cobbled streets. It's where the Portuguese explorer Pedro Álvares Cabral first set foot on Brazilian soil on April 22, 1500.
Porto Seguro also has beautiful beaches with even more beach bars. There are 4 that play Axe music and have dancers on stage, the public follow their moves. Here you see children to pensioners. The Passarela do Álcool (Alcohol street) is a famous spot in the city. Here you can buy local cocktails from one of the many stands, can have dinner with live music at one of the many restuarants and buy local handmade gifts at the market stalls. The street is alive everyday from 6pm to midnight.
I'm a friendly open female with a love of life, travel and meeting new people. I'm passionate about Brazil and have been going there for the past 7years. I will be able to give you lots of advice on what to do and where to go, also outside of Porto Seguro.
I'm English but been living outside of England for almost 10years now. I work in marketing/ product management for an international brand yet hope to have my own business in the future.
I speak Portuguese and understand Spanish pretty well. One of these days I hope to learn the language. I like to exercise, dance and as I said travel. I'm easy going, honest, helpful and happy person... There's so many places to see, write to me, lets exchange!
