Our Rio de Janeiro (Copacabana) for your New York (Upper West Side)

I live in Manhattan, New York City and my mother lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

She will be coming to visit me in 2012 for about 6 months (May - Nov/12)

Ideally she would like to swap apts - hers in Rio by a place in NYC.

She also considers renting (both places).

Her apt is a very nice well kept 850 sqf 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms in the HEART OF COPACABANA, Rio de Janeiro.

The apt is sunny, comfortable, and clean, located on the 6th floor/front of a safe condominium building, with 24h doorman & security cameras.

There is Cable TV, Wi-Fi internet, AC, ceiling fans, plenty of closets, laundry machine, etc

The apt has laminate wooden floor and it is a pet & smoke free home.

Her location could not be better - just 2 blocks from Copacabana Beach and the subway. Bus stops right across the street. All major commerce within 2-4 blocks (supermarkets, restaurants, shops, gym, beauty salons, pharmacies, laundry, post office, cyber cafes, etc).

She is looking for a 1 bedroom or Studio (approx.450 sqf) on the Upper West Side - as near as possible to W 85th St. Must be smoking & pets free. Must have elevator, AC and good heat system. Wi-Fi internet is desirable.

If you have a larger apt, of course she it up to that too!

Copacabana is the BEST neighborhood in Rio! The beach is worldfamous (6km of extension). Most hotels in Rio are located in Copacabana and along the oceanfront. The commerce is diverse. Hundreds of shops and restaurants for all tastes. Subway and many bus lines to all major tourist spots.

My mom is a sweet and outgoing lady, who loves meeting people and getting to know other cultures. She has hosted many international foreigners at her place. She is neat, clean, discret and very considerate of other people's belongings. She will take very good care of your place.
