About our home

This is a semi-detached, totally remodeled, two-stored house; upstairs we have 3 bedrooms (the master bedroom has air-conditioning) and 2 bathrooms; downstairs, a large living room opening up into a small garden and veranda, kitchen, garage and laundry. It's very sunny in the morning, ideal for breakfast out on the veranda (see picture) at the sound of chirping birds. We hear no noise from the city. The kitchen is well equipped, with a large window, but we prefer to have our meals in the dining room, that overlooks the side garden (see picture) through a big glass wall. Big sofa and armchair in front of a 42'plasma TV at the other end. There is still the maid's room and laundry, past the kitchen, and 2 small patios. A car would also be involved in the exchange. We have a part-time cleaning lady who cooks wonderful Brazilian food.

More about us

  1. I live with my two children, Raina 21 and Eric 13. Since I moved in nearly 15 years ago much has changed. I renovated nearly every corner of the house and bought nice furniture. I work as a simultaneous conference interpreter and love to meet people, to see new cultures, to learn, and traveling is my biggest dream. There's so much I'd like to show the kids, and nothing better than being a temporary resident to see a foreign culture the way it really is and come back with unforgettable stories. We're very particular about cleanliness and organization so we will treat your home as if it were our own. I'm very excited about the possibility of exchanging places with you. We're now looking for exchanges for next july and end of the year. Please, get in touch!

Where is it?

Located in a high part of town, in the south end, close to big shopping malls, and the Ibirapuera park. The neighborhood is green and peaceful, totally residential, good for taking walks or cycling at sunset. The weather is mostly warm all year round, and gets really hot from January through March. SÃo Paulo is a huge city, offers great nightlife, amazing restaurants and shopping places. Buses are available within a 10-minute walk. We are five minutes from the city airport (Congonhas), one hour from the nearest beach (Santos) and 4 hours from Rio de Janeiro.
