About our home
Our house is visited by toucans, macaws and so many birds... With a dining table overlooking a beautiful garden, swings and hammocks in the garden. A barbecue place inside the house, a nice jacuzzi... We lov this place. Kids have a lot to play with as well.

You can eat really good food here. Pizzas (baco, valentina), Japanese food (new koto, yuzu-an, banzai), Peruvian (tay-pa), among loads of others.
That's what the city has a lot to offer... Beirute, a classic. So many others... Mercadito, Pinella, Loca como tu Madre, Santuario, just to name a few.
So many... Los baristas, Ernesto, Dylan. They are not too close to my house, but worth the visit (everything here is about 20 minutes driving)
I personally like the less "mall-esque" shops. Conic for t-shirts, Endossa and Mercado Cobogo for nice small souvenirs.
Bit of culture
This is the capital of Brazil. Purpose-built city, with monuments spread all over.
Walks in the park
Jardim botanico is a really nice urban park about 4 km from here. You can get there for free before 9 am (no cars allowed). After that, you can bring your car. Very good for weekend brunches too, with tables under the pine trees.
Spot of exercise
My favourite is by far the Parque da Cidade. 25 minute drive from here, an enormous park (outside running track is an oval 10 km long), with picnic spots, amusement park, among other things. All over the lake, you have stand-up paddles, and cayaks for rent as well.
Pirenopolis is 1 1/2 hour from here. Not really a day trip, but a perfect two-day trip. Waterfalls and good food. If you drive 2 1/2 hours, you will get to Chapada dos Veadeiros, a gigantic comples of waterfalls, rivers, and very nice people.
