About our home

Beth's bungalow became her lovely retreat in 2005. Since this time there have been many upgrades to the home. If you are seeking a cozy, clean "home away from home" while you are visiting Beaumont or nearby Edmonton, you've found the place.

The home is in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood with a mixture of young families and retired couples. The downtown area of Beaumont is within easy walking distance up the hill. The landmark Catholic Church in the centre of town is visible from behind the house. The back yard is fenced and terraced with a raspberry patch in the top level, a pond and fire pit on the second level and bird feeders and a patio on the house level.

Both the main floor and a private suite are accessed through the back door of the home. Access is shared with the homeowner.

In the basement there is a lovely private suite that offers a bathroom with shower. The kitchen and living room are in one spacious open area. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a queen bed. You can see ratings and reviews for this suite at:

Parking is readily available on the street. Beaumont Taxi is available if you have no car. Public transport: There is a commuter bus within walking distance to Century Park LRT station in Edmonton, available morning and evening only.

Beaumont is 20 minutes east of the Edmonton International Airport and 10 minutes east of Highway 2. Driving north, it is a 10 minute drive to the south end of Edmonton.

For hiking and skiing enthusiasts, Edmonton is a 4 hour drive from both Jasper and Banff in the famous Rocky Mountains.  Edmonton is known as Festival City and has a vibrant art, music and food/restaurant community . The Edmonton Oilers Hockey team has its home in Rogers place. Football and baseball teams bring excitement in the summer. West Edmonton Mall has entertainment and shopping 'till you drop'! There is something for everyone.

  1. Beth has a home in Beaumont, Alberta, Canada. Availably of the house is flexible.

  2. Beth has been an AIRBNB host for 6 years and loves to attend Music Festivals and concerts. Two new grandchildren, in 2018 in addition to 3 older ones, has made for a delightful way to spend time.

  3. Beth lives part time in Vancouver where she is close to her youngest grandchild and part time in Beaumont, close to her other 4 grandchildren.

Where is it?


Beautifully situated and known for its picturesque church on the hill, the Town of Beaumont began as a French colony in 1895. Since the 1970s, Beaumont has experienced phenomenal population growth, the result being a dynamic vibrant community in which to live, work and play. With the public transport bus started in September, 2017, Beaumont in now connected to the south end of Edmonton's Light Rail Transit

Chartier - a rustic French Canadian restaurant located in the heart of Beaumont. Crepe & Shake is a seasonal outdoor restaurant featuring phenomenal crepes and delicious ice creams.
Cool bars
Chartier is becoming known for its broad and unique choice of drinks.
Cozy cafés
Jef's Cafe - features Good coffee, lunch, music, art events. A Starbucks, Tim Hortons, MacDonalds are all relatively new additions to our rapidly growing community.
Retail therapy
Virtu Boutique - catering to women who have a discerning style and want to find unique clothing and accessories.
Bit of culture
A new performance centre is being planned by an active artistic group in Beaumont. Edmonton has an active cultural scene with the Winspear , Citadel, Jubilee Auditorium, jazz and folk clubs, and much more.

There are many walking trails, both in Beaumont and the beautiful Edmonton river valley.

Day tripping
Edmonton's West Edmonton Mall is known world-wide for its shopping, rides, swimming pool and theme-room hotel. Roger's Place is the home of Edmonton's Edmonton Oilers, The Mattart Conservatory has plants from all over the world, the Space and Science Centre has child-friendly activities and an IMAX theatre.
