About our home

Nicely renovated home on quiet street close to all shopping needs and outdoor activities. The master bedroom is quite large with a private funky onsuite bathroom. The main floor has two bedrooms each with comfortable double beds and a full bath. Our family room has a fireplace with a piano, and a great stereo system. We also have converted one of our two garages into a music studio in which you'll find several guitars, an electric piano, accordians, and recording gear. Furnishings are well loved and ecclectic. Floors are mostly hardwood. The kitchen includes all the basics plus microwave, dishwasher, great juicer, blender and small indoor grill. As well we have a beachfront cabin in interior British Columbia which could be available -- very rustic = very charming. No smoking indoors please.

More about us

Hi We are a married blended family with two kids (16) who sometimes are with us and sometimes with the other parents. Rowan is a commercial real estate broker and semi prof. musician. Carrie is an actress, and yoga and dance instructor. We are artistic types have flexible schedules and the ability to travel on short notice. In the summer we often go to our cabin in B.C. which means the house in Calgary could use some guests! Non-simultanious exchanges are possible and likely desirable given our winter climate. Our cabin could also be available as part of a longer stay but it is very rustic -- from our home it is a five hour drive through the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

There is a lovely riverside park - Stanley Park, just 2 blocks away. Great bike paths, outdoor pool,playground, bbqs, river floating and tennis. Pathways lead to Calgarys fashion district on 17th Ave. and further into the downtown core- approx. 4 km, you'll find a very progressive theatre district. We are on the edge of one of Calgary's most prestigious neighbourhoods with easy access to all amenities and public transportation. We are home to the, "largest outdoor event" the world famous Calgary Stampede (July). The Rocky mountains, are a 1 hour drive away for some of the best skiing, hiking, climbing.
