Villa 5 at Lora Bay is a large 2 bedroom 2 story condo home located at the Lora Bay Golf Course in Thornbury, near Collingwood, Ontario.

Ground floor includes Great Room (open living/dining area), den/media room, laundry room, and master bedroom with ensuite bath and shower. The den has a large LCD digital TV with HD PVR, stereo, DVD/CD player. Upstairs has a second bedroom with ensuite plus a pullout 2 person sofa bed in the loft area. The home is equipped with high speed wireless internet with excellant reception anywhere on the property. The Great Room opens to a deck with BBQ and patio furniture, ideal for summer dining.

More about us

We are an Engineer and nurse/ESL teacher with 2 mid-20s kids (both off the payroll) and we have extensive travel experience and had our first (highly sucessful) house exchange this spring! We would like to do an exchange in Mexico, NYC, New Zealand, or PEI (summer of 2008) but are open to any other neat spots! Retirement is recent for us (late last fall) so we are looking at this as a new opportunity.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The Lora Bay property is located a few kms West of the Town of Thornbury on Hwy 26, about 20 km from Collingwood (200 km North East of Toronto). This area is ideal for all seasons as there are excellant outdoor activities available at all times. We are located less than 100 m from the Georgian Trail, a multi season bike/ski trail on an old train line running between Collingwood and Meaford. In the winter, the Collingwood area is recognized as having the best ski facilities in Southern Ontario.
