About our home

My home is comfortable, clean and spacious. It has a large kitchen. The deck overlooks a large yard that is private with a view of the mountains and has many trees, flowers and a garden, great for kids. I love spending time in my home and having friends over. It is warm and inviting.

My name is Erich I am 64, retired. I like traveling and meeting people. I owned a restaurant, worked as a heli guide and do some wood turning, I built my own home. I grew up in the blackforest region of Germany and immigrated to Canada in the 60's. My son Andre is a PhD student at UBC in Geography. Depending where I am, Andre and his girlfriend may come and visit.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Nelson is the town I live in, the town is on Kootenay Lake, the lake is 195km long and 4km wide. It is great place for hiking, skiing, tennis, swimming and sailing. {I have a small sailboot}There are 7 golf clubs, including a 18 hole club 5 minuites from my house. In spring one can go skiing in the morning and play tennis outsite in the afternoon. Restaurants, theater, museums and art galleries are 7 minuites away.
