About our home

Our home is very clean and comfortable, with a contemporary flair. It is positioned on a hill overlooking the Bay of Fundy in Black Rock, near Waterville. The house was designed to take full advantage of the spectacular view. It is a very quiet and pastoral setting, with five private acres to roam around on, a fire pit for outdoor grilling and a private five person hot tub with views of the bay.

More about us

  1. We are Stephen and Lisa, a married couple in our fifties. Our son, J.J. recently became a United States Marine. Since Steve and I are soon to retire, we are looking forward to traveling to many destinations and vacationing on a yearly basis. Our friend, Cindy, who has been doing successful home exchanges for several years now, highly recommended that we do it, too.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are close to the fishing village of Harborville, Berwick, Kentville and New Minas.
Harborville and Black Rock are on the North Mountain. Berwick, Kentville and New Minas are in the Valley. The North Mountain is near the Bay of Fundy and Harborville, where fish is brought in daily from the local fishermen. The Valley is where the farms are and where fresh fruits and vegetables can be hand picked or purchased at roadside farm stands. Our area is an absolutely perfect blend of farm and sea, and only a 45 minute scenic drive to Halifax! A car is recommended, and we will car exchange with you, if needed.
