About our home

Located about 30 minutes south of Ottawa, our 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is the perfect base for a family looking to explore Canada's National Capital, Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and Northern New York.

We have a large air-conditioned family home. We have 3 young kids, so it's lived-in, but we do our best to keep things tidy. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths (one ensuite), a kitchen and living room on the main level,. In the basement you will find an enormous, fully stocked playroom, tv room with wall mounted flat screen and comfortable recliners and an office/craft room. Outside we have a large vegetable garden in summer, a play structure and toys for the kids, a bonfire pit, a 6 car garage and a 3/4 acre property.

Osgoode is a small village of about 2500, that is in the southernmost portion of the City of Ottawa boundary. The village has all the amenities you could think of: post office, grocery store, gas station, library, and liquor and beer stores. There is a Walmart and a few other chain stores in Kemptville, about 10 minutes away, or head to Barrhaven or Bayshore Shopping Centre for more shopping options, both about 20 minutes drive.

There's lots to see at do right here in the Ottawa Valley including Parliment Hill, scenic tours along the Rideau Canal, two casinos, lots of museums, Gatineau Park, nature activities and Calypso water park.

Or for daytrips:
Kingston - 2 hours
Thousand Islands - 1.5 hours
Montreal - 2.5 hours
USA Border - 40 minutes
Watertown, NY - 2 hours

We have two cats - Lucy and Jake. Both are very affectionate and great with kids. We would need to have the cats fed.

You will need a vehicle to get around, but a car exchange can be discussed.
