Our home is one year old, featuring a 150 degree view of the Glenmore Valley. It has everything needed on the ground level, master bedroom with en suite, and laundry facilities. All the common built-ins, including a gas fireplace. A good sized extended roofed patio off the kitchen with a gas barbecue. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, a recreation room and 3 pce bathroom; also large windows with a great view.It is located 5 minutes from almost any amenity, including access to a 90 mile/150 kilometer long, deep lake. Kelowna is in the central okanagan, about 4 hours east of Vancouver, and serviced by a full service international airport.
Our home is located on the side of Dilworth Mountain, which is very central to city services, affording a very desireable view, in a city of about 110,000 people. The Okanagan valley is a very scenic, four season location. Demographically, our city is somewhat weighted in favor of a retirees community. We have a local Yaht Club, and numerous golf courses, all within a 10 minute drive.
My wife and I are recent retirees, she a Registered Nurse and myself, an Executive. Having lived all our working lives in Alberta, we travelled to the Okanagan in British Columbia, every summer for some family water skiing; occassionaly in winter for the downhill skiing. We always loved it here and aspired to call this home when elegibility for retirement occured. WE LOVE IT HERE!
Have have travelled considerably, having travelled throughout Canada, to almost all the United States, including Hawaii, St. Maartin, Mexico, Belize and Honduras, Most European countries, including Turkey, Greece, Spain and Portugal.
