About our home

Our Chalet is very private being located at the end of a Cul de Sac. Located in the Purcell Mountains, the great room has views across the Columbian Valley of the Rocky Mountains. The kitchen was recently renovated and has all Sub Zero and Wolf (induction) cooking appliances. There is also a BBQ located off the kitchen. The main floor is open concept to allow for entertaining of friends and family with Timber Frame construction throughout as well as in-floor heating. The dining table can seat 10. The fireplace in the great room is wood burning.

All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms again with in-floor heating. We also have a hot tub. Out the back of the chalet is a river/stream that runs all year round.

Located on the Powder Highway, Golden / KHMR is centrally located as it relates to ski resorts. To the East is Lake Louise and Sunshine ski areas which is where one would ski if one were staying in Banff for example. To the west is Revelstoke Mountian Resort and before the town of Revelstoke is Rogers Pass, a world renound backcountry ski area. There are also numerous Heli and Cat ski operations in and around Golden.

The town of Golden / Kickinghorse Mountian Resort (KHMR) is at the centre of 6 National Parks. To the north is Jasper National Park, to the east is Yoho and Banff National Parks. To the south is Kootenay National Park. To the west is Glacier National Park as well as Revelstoke National Park. There are a multitude of activities that one can do in the summer, ranging from hiking is all the Parks, to White Water Rafting down the Kickinghorse River, exploring the Columbia Ice Fields in Jasper National Park, the list goes on and on.
