About our home

Our clean and cosy 3 bedroom home is located in a quiet neighbourhood midway between Toronto and Montreal, and a 1 1/2 hour drive to Ottawa. A short 15 minute drive takes you to downtown Historic Kingston. We offer a good working kitchen with adjoining dining room and lots of windows. Our living room is spacious and comfortable with a large screen t.v. and media centre computer system. The main floor has Brazilian Cherry hardwood flooring, with ceramic tile in the kitchen, bath and sunroom off the pool area. The kitchen has granite countertops. The highlight of the lower level is a 30 year old British style pub complete with wood burning fireplace, that has as authentic a feel as you will find in a private home. For visitors seeking somewhere warm, we might point out that Kingston averages temperatures in the mid to high 20's through most of July and August although temperatures in the low 30's are not uncommon. This past July we experienced 27 days of sunshine, the house is fully air-conditioned for evening sleeping and the pool provides welcome daytime relief.

The large fenced backyard has a 32' X 16' (9.75m X 4.88m) in-ground pool, 10 person hot tub/spa, formal gardens and patio. The backyard abuts against a conservation area providing privacy and leaves nothing but trees as a backdrop to the pool, and outdoor dining area.

We live less then a kilometer from another conservation area with access to Lake Ontario. We have a canoe available which can be transported to the nearby lake or north of the city to some of the lakes and rivers nearby. We also have camping equipment that we could make available to anyone interested in exploring that part of the area. We also have a number of bicycles available.
