The house is a L-shaped bunglow, 250m2 (2500sq. ft.), in one of the premier neighbourhoodâs of Kingston. The garden-side main entry into the house leads to a living room with wood fireplace, a library, the main guest room, a bed/sitting room, a three piece bathroom and a utility room with full laundry facilities. There are also two bedrooms/studies.
The lake-side area of the house has a large formal dining room, a modern, well equipped kitchen, a family and eating area, the master bedroom and main bathroom and a large deck with gas BBQ. There is high speed internet and satellite TV.
The 2nd home is a cottage on a small lake, on a large wooded property,35 minutes north of Kingston. Additional information on request.
Sheila and John, are an energetic, retired couple; John a former university professor in business and Sheila the owner of a project management company. They lived in Wilmslow, Cheshire for 3 years, have travelled extensively and plan on contuing to do so. They return as often as possible to the UK and Europe, touring, visiting museums, canal boating,sailing and maintaining long-standing friendships.
Their three children and families currently all live in the Ottawa area and they too are enthusiastic travellers. On occasion, one of the families join Sheila and John for a bout of family adventure and togetherness.
This waterfront property on Lake Ontario is located on a quiet residential street in Kingston west. The historic downtown Kingston has an outdoor market, museums, shops and a wide variety of local amenities; all within a 10 minute drive.
During the summer, there are historic re-enactments, free concerts in the downtown park, buskars and numerous festivals, ferry cruises and services to some of the nearby islands in Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. Of course sailing and cruising are prime activities.
Kingston is within easy driving distance to Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, Quebec and there is direct air transport to Toronto.
