About our home

I live in the second floor of a sweet house with my 4 year old daughter in a calm street very near the very desired and cool area of Ossington and Dundas and Ossington and Queen West. The space is lovely, full of light, with views of the sunrise and sunset. The apartment was recently renovated and I decorated with much love. Its my home!

Where is it?

Little Portugal is in the heart of Dundas West Area and it is trendy, cute and full of character. Steps away from the Dundas Streetcar line, 3 blocks of the two Buses that lead to Dufferin and Ossington subway stations, and 5 blocks away from the Queen and the College streetcar lines. This neighbourhood is full of shops, restaurants and bars with adorable patios.

Buzzy restaurants
Fun fact! Little Portugal also has a strong presence of the Vietnamese community, and we have more than 5 excellent Pho restaurants in the neigbourhood! Portuguese restaurants are a must as well as other Latin American restaurants, such as Maizal, La Cubana and Reposado. Don't forget to visit the fun new speciallized restaurants and "snack" places such as the Croissanterie, the ice cream shop Death in Venice and Bang Bang ice cream!
Cool bars
Hard to choose just one. Lula lounge is my favourite, because it is also a cultural reference for Latin american music and dance. Get well bar is a very fun place to go, drink a beer, eat a delicious slice and play pool and retro pinball machines. Venice beach is so cute and fun in the summer! The many microbreweries around are wonderful options as well!
Cozy cafés
Loveless coffee, Tampered press, Ideal coffe and Safehouse coffee are my favourites. My husband is a fan of Tucana coffe, Jimmy's coffe, The Common, Brocktown hunt and Swan Coffe.
Retail therapy
So many shops with character in this neighbourhood! Make some time to stroll through Dundas st, Queen st, College st, Rocensvalles St, Bloor st and King st.
Bit of culture
This neighbourhood was originally inhabited by the Portuguese community and now welcomes all cultures. Traditional elders share space with hipster youth and young families very hamoniously!
Walks in the park
Trinity Bellwoods is the closest park, but in a 15 min bike ride or street car ride you will be in High Park, the most loved park in Toronto. Christie Pitts is also a great option to visit and it is easily accessible by transit.
Spot of exercise
Trinity Bellwoods Park, Waterfront bike lane, Running tracks, YMCA, City run swimming pools and more.
Day tripping
Trendy West Queen West, Charming Roncesvalles, Beautiful High park, Little Italy, Koreatown and more.
