About our home

Beautiful small island home built in 2000. Well designed two bedroom cottage style home with fireplace and under-floor heating. There is a separate Tree House building which has a double bed-room and shower.

Situated close to the many beaches of Mayne Island and in walking distance to the ferry which leaves for Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

We are interested in the condo available in Westmount Montreal and are looking to exchange homes from October 2009 to April 2010.

We have fallen in love with Mayne Island. The people are so friendly and there are only 100 people living here year round. We have visited many other Gulf Islands as well as Victoria & Vancouver on the ferries which sails each day.

We love walking or cycling to various beaches and the Japanese gardens close by. The tranquillity of the Island is pricless.

There is lots to do - various groups we have joined are: volunteering at the Jananese Garden, bridge club, kayak club, exercise and yoga groups, community garden where we have a vegetable plot.

We bought 'The Tree House' last August and have really enjoyed living here on sunny Mayne Island. My husband, Andrew has just accepted a consultant position in Westmount Montreal beginning October 1st. I am retired.

We have been married for 30 years and emigrated from the U.K. in 1982. We have one daughter and a two year old grand-daughter.

until we came to Mayne Island we had been living near Calgary for 27 years in Bragg Creek, Alberta.
