About our home

Our condo is situated on the top floor of a small 3-storey building. Although the building is a little old (typical of the Outremont area), the 3 apartments in the building have been entirely renovated. It is a bright, luminous apartment furnished in a very simple and comfortable contemporary style. The kitchen is the highlight of the apartment - very spacious and comfortable!

More about us

  1. We are an Egyptian family of 4 people: my husband (age 42) and I (age 40), and 2 girls ages 10 and 13 yrs old. We've been in Montreal for the last couple of years and love being here. My husband is a business man running his own family business and I'm home making sure there's harmony and happiness between all of us! We all speak Arabic, English and French fluently. We love travelling and discovering new places every year. We've done 2 successful home exchanges so far and love it!

Where is it?

Outremont is located along the slopes of Mount Royal, near the campus of Université de Montréal and its affiliate schools. A highly residential neighbourhood, Outremont is known for the beauty of its imposing old homes, such as those found on Maplewood Street, not far from Laurier Avenue. The residents are largely French-speaking, and there is also a significant Hassidic Jewish community. a peaceful neighbourhood, where nature is omnipresent. The area has some of the most sophisticated restaurants, cafes and shops in Montreal.

Laurier, Bernard, and Van Horne avenues, with their trendy bakeries, cafés, and bistros, are excellent places to stroll or linger over a cup of coffee. The Outremont art gallery, next to the Robert-Bourassa library, exhibits contemporary works of art and occasionally hosts intimate concerts.

The neighbourhood is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Montreal. Downtown is also easily accessible either by metro (the nearest station is a 2-minute walk from the apartment) or by bus (the nearest bus-stop is just in front of the apartment).
