Montreal-West is a small city of 5000 located in an old and very private borough of Montreal. It is one of the most secluded and nicest neighbourhoods. You will find mature trees and many parks, it is just like âthe country in the cityâ!
We are at 8-10 km from Montreal busy and attractive downtown and fifteen minutes away from all major attractions (via car or nearby commuting train, buses, or Subway/metro). We are near 3 major highways and 2 minutes walking distance from an urban train station (that connects to the subway systems) and a bus hub also located a block away.
Our house is in a very quiet neighbourhood where most people are bilingual (French and English), which by the way applies to most people in Montréal.
Convenient stores for almost anything are not far (walking distance) from our house and major malls are not much further. Montreal is safe and friendly and offers a variety of activities especially during summer: a vibrant nightlife, superb restaurants, shops, and most of all, the hospitality of its inhabitants.
Montréal is a city with a European flair, partly because of our ancestors both French and English. You will find that the people in Montreal, no matter where you go, have a sense of âjoie de vivreâ.
There are many sites to visit: the Old Port, Old Montreal, the botanical Gardens, the Biodome, the Insectarium, Fine Arts Museum, Musée de la Pointe à Callières, Metropolitain Art Museum and so forth.
