About our home

This quiet two bedroom condo has a deck with views onto Mout Sutton Ski Area. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the guest room has two single beds. Since it is designed for skiers, there's also a fold out bed in the living room, so there is room for 6 adults in a pinch. There's a fireplace, a dining area with a view towards Montreal and a galley kitchen with built in dishwasher, microwave, fridge and stove. I love the space because it's quiet and rural, yet close enough to Sutton and even Montreal to be able to dip into urban life too.

More about us

I am a teacher who is about to retire after 33 years. For most of that time I taught Drama and English. I am also a professional actor and director. My partner is a community animator. In recent years we have visited her family in England, but with more time available in off- season times, we are looking forward to extending our travel.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The condo is in one of five buildings called Val Sutton. It's not exactly ski- out, but the building is located between the two base lifts. There's a swimming pool for the five buildings that make up the complex. Each building has a sauna and a games room. Mine has table tennis and a pool table. A nature conservancy maintains a series of hiking trails that are connected to the Appalachian Trail, and access is 100 yards from the front door. I often make day trips to Montreal - 100 kms distant. On a clear day, if you know where to look, you can see the buildings of Montreal from the condo! There are several fine restaurants locally, outlet shopping, cheese and wine makers and Vermont is 16 kms away.
