About our home
Roy and I have a newly renovated and beautifully decorated older home in Nanaimo in a quiet neighbourhood. Our home is very clean and is decorated in a warm and comfortable style. The kitchen has a stainless steel gas range,fridge and microwave and is fully equipped with everything a gourmet cook would require. There is a formal dining room with french doors into the large living room. The master bedroom offers a king size bed and ensuite bath with shower, and sliding doors out to the terrace. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and is next to the main bath, which is equipped with a bathtub/shower combination. A third bedroom is on the lower floor.
The terrace at the rear of the house has tables, chairs, sun loungers and gas barbecue, and there is a sunny small porch under a grape arbor for morning coffee.

La maison comprend aussi une très grande chambre des maîtres avec une salle dâeau complète attenante. Il y a aussi 2 autres chambres à coucher et une autre salle dâeau complète.
La cour arrière comprend une terrasse avec une table et des chaises ainsi quâun Bar-B-Q, une tonnelle recouverte de vignes

Roy and I are a semi-retired couple; I was a lawyer and occasionally work as a consultant, and Roy is a scenic artist in the movie industry. We both love to travel, particularly in Europe. Our home reflects Roy's artistic talents, containing many original oil paintings. We have two calico cats, Sophie and Sadie, that may or may not be in residence, depending on your wishes. We would be delighted to tend to your cats or dogs while staying in your home; as well, Roy is an avid gardener and would be pleased to maintain your garden. Since this is our permanent residence, simultaneous exchanges are necessary. Arrangements can be made to have our friends welcome you to the home, and to be available should you require assistance. The fridge will contain ingredients for your first meal and breakfast, as well as a welcoming bottle of wine and appetizers.

L'océan,les montagnes et les lacs pour le tourisme à pied, la montée, la navigation, le fait de faire du canoë, la pêche, la surveillance de baleine et kyacking. Fourgonnette de Ford incluse. Les festivals de musique, les galeries, les musées, les restaurants excellents; poisson frais et mollusque.

Neighbourhood
Vancouver Island is renowned for its scenery and wildlife. The ocean, mountains and lakes offer many activities, including sailing, and our seven passenger Ford van is available A one and a half hour ferry ride takes you to Vancouver or Seattle, Washington. Fresh fish and shellfish is readily available, and deep sea fishing and whalewatching and scenic cruises are offered from the harbour. Our climate is hot and sunny between May and October.
