About our home

Back-split (1969) comfortable home, not a chateau. Completely equiped with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms + office or possible extra bedroom. Finished family room in basement. Small yard, nice neighbours, mature part of the city of Newmarket. 2 hours to Niagara Falls, 30 minutes to Toronto waterfront, 5 hours to Ottawa. Ontario is more than 2000 kilometres west to east.
We may offer a cottage with small boat, on a lake 800 k north of Newmarket if it would be of interest. There are neighbours at the lake. They speak French and English. Distances a great in Canada.

Nice neighbourhood.

We are grandparents. My wife, Annalee, and I were teachers for many years. We have visited the battlefields of northern France, and we would like to return. We love photography, and the cinema. We are avid canoeists. We love nature. We love travel. In our youth we were several times to France and western Europe. We love the British Isles too. Our travel has been less aggressive in recent years. On songe à faire un genre de pélérinage le long de la ligne du front entre Verdun et la côte des débarcations du Jour J. Our world is quite different from the old world from which our ancestors came to build a new life in Canada. If anyone is interested in trading lives with us, we can discuss further details by email.
