About our home

Ours is a 2-level home on a large property, with a garden. The main floor has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 office, diningroom, livingroom, and kitchen, a breakfast nook which opens to the deck with an awning, a garden table and chairs and a BBQ where we enjoy all our meals during the summer. We enjoy all sunsets and sunrises, beautiful!

The lower floor includes 1 bedroom, 1 office, bathroom, kitchen, diningroom and livingroom.

Each floor has a gas fireplace.

There is a private hottub in the backyard.

I am a financial planner and my husband is retired from the steel industry. Our children are grown. My son is a biologist living in Belize and operating a biology research centre.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The neighbourhood is a village at the foot of Grouse Mountain, a ski hill. We are surrounded by hiking and biking trails, some within a 5-minute walk. During the summer, because we have a large dog which will be on vacation while we are gone, we have to be a bit cautious with the animals that can be in the fenced backyard, among which there can be raccoons, bears and skunks and if we are luck, deer. We have several bird feeders which attract a huge variety of birds from varied thrush, to stellar jays, northern flickers, house finch, titmouse, chickadees, and many many more. We also have a garden which supplies us with many of the vegetables we need during the summer.
