About our home

Our house is at the very top of North Vancouver and we back onto the forest with fantastic hiking right out the back door. We are very close; less than 10 kms to downtown Vancouver as well. We love the fact that we have these two different worlds so close. There is good public transit minutes from our house. Our house is spatious on three levels. We have three spatious bedrooms plus study on the top floor with two full bathrooms. The main level has large living room with gas fireplace, dining room, kitchen and large family room with gas fireplace and flat plasma HDTV. On the main level we have several doors leading out onto a terraced back yard with lots of deck space. There is a trampoline in the backyard for kids. There is 1 bathroom on the main floor. In the basement we have another large family room with TV and games. There is also another bedroom and full bath in the basement. The basement also leads out to a double garage.

More about us

We are a family of four. I am Mike and my wife is Anne. I am a management consultant with a large accounting firm and Anne is an IT Manager in an Insurance Company. We have a son 14 and daughter 16. We also have a 4 year old golden doodle dog which we are open to leave or shelter. We have done two house exchanges in the last 3 years and have loved the experience. We are hooked on this kind of vacation and we feel like experts at this now! We are looking to exchange homes for a two week period or so this summer (2010) preferably in the August 2010 timeframe. We are keen to learn more about your home and welcome questions about ours.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are ideally located backing onto forest but so close to the City. The city of Vancouver is a 15 minute drive and our house is walking distance to public transit. We are a 10 minute drive to Grouse Mountain which has year round outdoor activities. We live on a quite cul-de-sac with 9 houses and friendly neighbours. We are close to mountain biking, all North Vancouver attractions. Our neighbourhood is very quiet.
