About our home

Located in a quiet, safe suburb, 10 kms to downtown Vancouver, close to a small neighbourhood shopping area, parks, walking and hiking. Our home was completely renovated 7 years ago, with high end appliances and furniture. Large, very private lot (⅓ acre) has established gardens backing onto a creek. Kitchen/dining room/living area is integrated in a single great room. Built in Murphy-bed in TV room can sleep two additional people, as long as they want to sleep together :).

Neighbourhood

We live in a quiet, residential suburb on the North Shore of of Vancouver. There is a busy little commercial area two blocks away, with grocery store, butcher, baker (no candlestick makers), library, pharmacy, coffee shops and so on. There is a bus stop with regular service into Vancouver, and easy access to the highway north (to Horseshoe Bay ferry and Whistler) and east.

Buzzy restaurants
None nearby.
Cool bars
Maybe not "cool", but there are a number of craft breweries which have small pubs featuring their beers.
Walks in the park
Capilano Park is nearby. Grouse Mountain, with the world famous Grouse Grind, is up the hill.
Day tripping
Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria on Vancouver Island (see Butchart Gardens), Seattle WA is 3 hours by car.
