Wilderness in the City

Sometimes you want it all - Mountains, Ocean, Nature and views. Nestled above the village of Deep Cove, our home will overwhelm you with the sheer panorama over Indian Arm, a fjord carved by glaciers where the ocean meets the vast towering mountains.

Deep Cove is a recreation paradise that has a number of small shops , galleries and restaurants that look out over the boats in the marina. The village is quaint and a local favourite and is known for its famed “Honeys donuts.” There is fine dining at the Arms Reach Bistro with patios and views out over the bay. You will feel out in the wilderness and indeed the village is the end of the city. Beyond up the Arm sits a vast wilderness . Deep Cove is known especially for mountain biking, kayaking and paddle boarding and you will see all the paddlers heading out in the mornings from our two large decks. Kayak rentals are provided at the canoe club .The village is a 5 min. walk down the hill and rimmed with parks and swimming beaches.

When you are tired of the wilderness, Downtown Vancouver beckons . Unbelievably, it is only a 30 min. drive or a 1 hr bus ride. Vancouver is a cosmopolitan city of 2.7 million people. The city is blessed with fabulous restaurants , entertainment and museums. However it is the ocean and mountain backdrop that steal the show. This can be experienced on the beaches in summer or from the local ski slopes in winter.

Our house is on two levels, with 2 bedrooms located on the Upper Floor. Each has their own ensuite and are both large. The Master Bedroom has stunning mountain and ocean views wall to wall with a king size bed and it’s own large deck with outdoor seating area. The second bedroom has a view to the garden in the back where a small stream winds through.

The Main floor is open concept with a large entertaining kitchen with large sit around island. There is a beautiful deck off the kitchen to have dinner outdoors. The rest of the main floor includes a Living Room and Dining Room off the kitchen. There are also a separate TV Room, Laundry and Powder Room. Out the rear is a large private flower garden. The TV room has a comfortable pullout couch suitable for 2 children.
