About our home

Make this your base for your Rocky Mountain vacation or urban holiday. Banff and the Rocky Mountains are just a short drive west while the downtown attractions are steps from your door!
This lower level unit in a beautiful historical building has been modernized while keeping the period charm of the 1930's. Beveled and stained glass windows and dark wood, modern kitchen and a luxurious bath will charm you. You will be next to the beautiful Bow River and Princes Island in the trendy neighborhood of Sunnyside. Shops and restaurants in Kensington, pathways along the Bow River and parks are literally steps away. Walk across the Peace Bridge into downtown Calgary for shopping and entertainment.
The unit is a one bedroom condo/apartment with a queen size bed in a quiet, cool bedroom. Enjoy the beautiful lights of downtown Calgary from your window at night and jogging along the river pathways by day. Calgary is a beautiful, modern city. We sit in the foothills next to the awesome Rockies on one side and the Prairies and farmland on the other.

Where is it?

Sunnyside is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Calgary with a mix of original homes and new infills and condominiums and apartments. It is just north of the Bow River and downtown and adjacent to the popular area called Kensington which has many restaurants and shops. Downtown and Prince's Island park are a short walk across the iconic Peace Bridge. A Safeway store, bank and other amenities are only blocks away and although my home is on the main thoroughfare of Memorial Drive, the unit is quiet and has a lovely view of downtown buildings and the front garden.
