About our home

Are you interested in enjoying the best that Canada has to offer in the summer of 2011? We are offering our 3 bedroom bungalow home which is centrally located in Canada's capital Ottawa. From this location, you can enjoy the many attractions and events in the city of Ottawa. You could also use our home as the base for exploring many of the spectular places in Ontario and Quebec (Gatineau Hills, Algonquin Park, Niagara Falls, Toronto). If you're interested in a real outdoor experience, I could arrange a canoe trip for you in a wilderness area.

My home is spacious and tidy. There are 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, fully finished basement with TV room and bed, pool table room and laundry room. The yard is large and has a trampoline for the enjoyment of your children. There are many parks and swimming pools within walking distance from our home.

Located in a central residential area in Ottawa, you may use a nearby bike path to ride along the Ottawa River, you could walk to a shopping mall & the street shops & restaurants in Wesboro, a popular Ottawa neigbourhood, you can reach the downtown in 15 minute by driving. Ottawa, the Capital city of Canada, is an attractive, safe medium sized city with many attractions and numerous summer events.

Ottawa has glorious heritage buildings, diverse museums and cultural venues. You can meander along the banks of the historic Rideau Canal or board a boat for a cruise on the Ottawa River. Go museum hopping or bike along the many scenic bike paths. There's great hiking in the Gatineau hills with fresh water lakes if you wish to take a plunge. There's warm hospitality here and opportunities for a great holiday.

My son (age 13) and I (age 51) are interested in a house exchange in the summer of 2011. I'm a Manager in the federal public service and have travelled extensively. We are open to any offer of an exchange in many different countries. You will find our home very comfortable and ideally located to explore many of the Ottawa's and Ontario's attractions.
