About our home

Our two-storey detached family-friendly home is a little over 10 years old, pet and smoke free and sits on a corner lot with a paved driveway (space for up to 2 cars) and covered garage. There is a fenced in southwest facing backyard and great light throughout the home during the day. We've been in our family home since 2017 and have lovingly decorated it over the years since moving to Ottawa, and would happily share our warm and welcoming space with you!

It’s an open concept home with hardwood and ceramic floors on the main level and bathroom areas, carpeted bedrooms and stairs leading up to the second level. It's a warm and welcoming environment, with modern wall colours, decorating and child-friendly areas throughout. The home is heated by a natural gas furnace and has a gas fireplace for those cozy Canadian winter vibes! You're welcome to use our board games, books, children's toys, ice hockey skates (2 adult and 3 children's pairs), strollers and outdoor sled to experience the snowy season in Ottawa with your family.

If you visit us from spring through autumn, there is ducted air conditioning in all rooms and windows open, protected by screen coverings to let the fresh air in – our neighbourhood is central but sits on the edge of the city en route to the rural countryside and smaller commuter towns. You're welcome to use our 1 adult bike and 3 children's bikes, prams/strollers or wagon as you wish.

We are a short walk from the bus route which connects to main bus and light rail lines downtown, walking and cycling trails, ponds, creek, foot bridges, soccer pitches, tennis and basketball courts. 15 minutes walking distance or 2 minute drive to the shops and restaurants for dine in and take away.

• 2.5x Bathrooms (1 full master ensuite, 1 full, 1 powder room)

We will leave a welcome pack for you to help you get familiar with our home, with tips on local amenities and exploring the area. We've previously travelled using other booking services in Europe, North America and Australia and can provide our reviews as guests if need be.

More about us

  1. We are an Irish-Canadian couple who have lived in Brisbane, Galway, Kildare and London before we became parents of three young boys (ages 6, 4, and almost 1).

  2. Chris works in finance and Amy works in marketing communications.

  3. We love time outdoors, travel, dining out, visiting galleries and museums, rugby, football (soccer), baseball, swimming and have recently gotten into ice hockey (no surprise there).
