About our home

Our 1 1/2 story country home is clean, comfortable and cozy. We have two bedrooms, queen and double beds and a baby crib plus a pull out couch and blow up mattress bed. We have a nice medium size kitchen and dining area, family room/studio with a fabulous country view, a livingroom and a recording studio. I would call our decor whimsical modern with a touch of country home antiques. We love it. There is space for many visitors to gather round the woodstove in the evenings and enjoy the sounds of the country. If you love to cook like we do, we have two herb gardens out front, and an outside firepit on the hill out back for great dining experiences. We also have a great whirlpool tub in the bathroom to soak away in and relax after your adventures.

More about us

  1. Jarvis and I are a married couple and now are new parents with a gorgeous daughter of 8 1/2 months. We recently moved to Bruce County from Vancouver, Canada, and are so happy we made the move to "get away from it all!" Jarvis is a professional bass player, playing with some of Canada's best talent, and I am an artist and a teacher, although right now, I am enjoying just being a Mum. This would be our first home exchange and are looking to have some fun and adventure. We love to travel and explore.

Where is it?

Our home is just a short ten minute walk to the picturesque village of Paisley, full of antique stores, art galleries and diners. Mostly famous for the Saugeen River that runs through the town, canoeing is wonderful experience. We are only 20 minutes from the shores of beautiful Lake Huron which boasts the best sunsets in all of Ontario, with sandy beaches and antique and local farmers markets. Day trips to Tobermory on the Bruce Penninsuala, which offers stunning views of the blue waters of Georgian Bay where hiking, shopping and dining are a must. We are also close to the fabulous Shakespeare festival town of Stratford, antique markets of St. Jacob, and the nightlife and culture of Toronto is only 2 1/2 hours away. Autumn in the rolling countryside of Bruce County is especially stunning. Our area is highly populated by the Amish, and hearing the clopping of their horse drawn buggies going by and the wind through our trees is a heartfelt sound.
