About our home

Our home is roomy, clean and child friendly. We have a fully equipped eat-in kitchen with an ajoining dining room. If you like you can eat on the patio that overlooks the neighbourhood. We have 3 bedrooms, one with a king size bed, one with a double bed and one with a single bed. We also have a living room with a pull out sofa and a family room with a t.v., DVD player, various video game systems and loads of video games. We have an office upstairs with a computer and highspeed internet. We have 2 full bathrooms upstairs, one with a large tub perfectly made for soaking, and a toilet and sink downstairs for convenience.

More about us

My husband, Mike, is a high school teacher and I, Celine, am a nurse. We have 2 boys ages 15 and 9. My husband and I have been to London in 2004 as chaperones on a high school trip and have wanted to take our boys there since we arrived back home. We would ideally like a 2 week exchange during the summer holidays but we are flexible regarding the duration of the exchange.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We live in one of Pembroke's older neighbourhoods with most of the houses being built in the early 1900s. Pembroke is nestled in the heart of the Ottawa Valley (featured in Canadian Geographic in the tourism section). We are located 10 minutes from the beautiful Ottawa River, 15 minutes from the province of Quebec, half an hour from Algonquin Park, 40 minutes from world class white water (google Wilderness Tours Beachburg), and 2 hours from Ottawa (Canada's capital). There are many, many things to do in this area such as whitewater rafting, fishing, camping, ATVing in the mountains, swimming, jet skiing, hiking, golfing, and relaxing. For big city activities, Ottawa is a perfect day trip.
