About our home

This home was built in 1903 and has been updated over the years and more recently renovations done to make the house more liveable, including converting a small bedroom to a laudry/shower room on the 2nd floor. The main floor is an open concept with living room, dining room and kitchen all flowing together, plus a lovely sunroom addition which overlooks the river. There is also a front verandah with a nice sitting area with wicker furniture and another deck at the side that goes onto a patio with adjoining fishpond.

The propery is located on the Otonabee River which is a part of the Trent Severn Waterway which runs from Lake Ontario up to Georgian Bay. Peterborough is conveniently located between Toronto and Ontario so it is central for travelling to larger cities. Peterborough is a community of 75,000 with an abundance of arts, culture, theatre, heritage places to visit and take part in.
We have a dock on the river with a new pontoon boat so that you can travel through the historic lock system into the Hydraulic Liftlocks (the largest in the world).

We are located within walking distance to the downtown core where you will have the opportunity to see a vibrant shopping/heritage area and be a part of our annuall summer musicfest which runs two nights a week for 8 weeks.

We have lived in the home for 19 years and love the neighbourhood (and the neighbours are great). We have a 1/2 acre lot on the river with a fishpond, gardens and a pontoon boat at our dock.
