About our home

We live in a secluded two bedroom home located on the Sunrise Trail (Highway 6) close to Pugwash, Nova Scotia. We have 1 1/2 baths with shower only and pullout queensize (to make sleeping for 6). Master bedroom has private balcony overlooking water. We have broadband internet which is also wireless. We have a small garden and some indoor houseplants which would require a bit of water on occasion. We enjoy watching lots of birds like eagles, hummingbirds, finches, etc. We are located directly on the water and can swim here at high tide. A beautiful public sandy beach is about 5 minutes away by car.

Our location is quiet and about 3 miles from the small village of Pugwash. Pugwash has a picturesque harbour where saltboats come to pick up salt which is mined here. It is also home of the late Cyrus Eaton. The village boasts a public library, several giftshops, Coop grocery store, NS Liquor Commission, drugstore, etc. For more extensive shopping, Amherst is 30 miles away and Truro about 1 hour. We are about an hour from the bridge to PEI and two hours from Halifax.

We are a self-employed business owner and a retired banker. We are in our early 50s and enjoy travel. We enjoy reading, movies, music, friends and family. We are empty nesters who are have very flexible schedules.
