About our home

Our home is a very quiet and lovely apartment located downtown Quebec City, Canada. The surface of living space is about 1800 sq.ft, the floor is made of wood and we consider that the furnitures are of good qualities, ceiling height 9ft. open space between kitchen and dining room and between the two lounges. As been completely renovated lately.
It is located on the top floor of the building which has only three levels. No ascensor, you gain acces to the apartment by stairs. Could be difficult for a person which has problems with her legs or knees.
The balcony is shaded by a large tree, which make it perfect for leasure any time during the day. Very charming; great eating especialy during evening, no mosquitos.
Parking space for one vehicule is available.
The orientation and the fenestration make it a clear and agreable.

Our apartment is located just beside the Park des Braves and about 10 minutes walk from the Plaines of Abraham, both are Canadian National Parks. Also, it is at a walking distance from Old Quebec City, with good restaurants, street animations and beautiful sceneries. Our neighbourhood is almost located downtown without the problems normaly associated with living so close of the business district.
In 2008, there will be along the summer months the celebrations of the 400e anniversary of the arrival of the french and the fondation of this city. So be ready for all kinds of activities during your sejour.
Most of the people working in service speak fluently english.

Retired ex mariner, worked on ice breakers for the last 15 years of services. My wife is still active and own a small consulting company. Two adult children, without kids for the moment.
Because we have four very distinct seasons we have the chance to be very active most of the year. Cross country skiing during winter, biking during summer, fishing, hunting etc... We own a camp in the boreal forest, so we spend a lot of time there. Enjoy sailing.
