With both Radium and Invermere just a short drive down the road, you can find everything you need to stay secluded at the ranch, or avail yourself of the variety of restaurants and diners up and down the valley. Local summer activities range from mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, kayaking, fishing and boating, as well as art galleries, beaches, shopping and spas for more sedate days.

As home to the incredible Columbia Valley Wetlands, birding and nature enthusiasts will be in heaven. The annual Wings Over the Rockies festival is held in May. The Columbia River Wetlands is one of the longest undisturbed wetland ecosystems found in North America. It stretches over 180 km in length from Canal Flats to Donald, BC. This impressive ecosystem gained international recognition when it was chosen a Ramsar wetlands in 2005 and represents one of the few remaining intact portions of the Pacific Flyway critical to migrating birds.

Wintertime sees our two local ski hills Including 2016 ski resort of the year Panorama Mountain Village) ready to serve your adventure needs, from easy going runs and nordic trails to heli-skiing and some incredible black diamond runs. As we are right on the Powder Highway, you can move a little to the east, 1.5 hours to the legendary Canadian Rockies resorts Lake Louise, Sunshine and Norquay (which overlooks Banff, Alberta), a little to the north to ski Kicking Horse in Golden BC and Revelstoke's incredible hills, or head just a touch south for Kimberley Alpine Resort and Fernie.
