About our home

Our home is a two-story walk-up (with basement) built in the early 1900s on Vancouver's Main Street. We've been here as a family for about 2+ years, and we're slowly curating it to our needs and tastes while working with the old charm of it! It has three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. Our kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher -- Andrea's favourite appliance. We have a cozy dining room and adjacent living room where we spend a lot of time as a family, eating and playing together. Laundry is shared in our building. We have a small back courtyard, and all of the best that Main Street has to offer just outside of our front door. We're a short walk to downtown, Chinatown and Gastown and a quick bus ride to the beaches and mountains.

More about us

  1. We're a couple with a baby boy, Charlie. He's the happiest kid you'll ever meet.

  2. Andrea runs a large festival in central Vancouver (Vancouver Mural Festival), and Ben is a creative technology artist and business owner (HFour).

  3. We're intrepid urban explorers, and enjoy seeking out galleries, street art and great food. We're also in love with foraging our culinary delights from the Canadian West Coast beaches and rainforests.

Where is it?

Vancouver is a young city, and known for being surrounded by picturesque mountains, oceanfront and beaches for days. You can enjoy a downhill ski adventure on fresh powder and be on the water in a kayak on the same day. There's nothing else quite like this place. What Vancouver is less understood for is our impressive arts, culture and music scene. The Vancouver Mural Festival has made this visible in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood where you can grab a map and mural hunt over 200 unique pieces. The night life in our neighbourhood is a great mix of indie band venues, great bars and a relaxed atmosphere hosted largely by and for locals -- and very welcoming to guests! The food is fabulous too! Vancouver has some of the best sushi outside of Japan, and the offering of tastes from around the world is impressive. We love our neighbourhood and the richness of it, and sure you will too.
