About our home

Our very private home bordering on the forest has spectacular views of the Tantalus Mountain Range. We operate a B&B so our home and especially the bedrooms are exquistely appointed with all the details a discerning traveller could ask for. Check out our website for full details of our home. More about us

We are Jim & Claire, with two wonderful children, a daughter age 14 and son age 12. I am a residential designer and Claire is a nurse. We lived overseas (Africa & Central America) for 10 years but have been back in Canada for 10 years. We are active outdoor enthusiasts and have recently started to travel internationally again with our children. We are interested in a short term home exchange during school break so that we can visit a warm climate to swim, surf, snorkel & hike.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Squamish is located half way between the beautiful cosmopolitan city of Vancouver and the internationally famous ski resort of Whistler/Blackcomb - only 35 minutes away. Our home is in a quiet residential neighbourhood and is on a cul de sac bordering forested lands with trails leading from our property to a Provincial Park and the wilderness beyond. You can walk (by road or trails through the forest) to a nearby commercial area with restaurants, groceries, movie theatre and other conveniences. In late summer we often have black bear in our back yard. Squamish is the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada and so the quantity and quality of outdoor activities is unsurpassed.
