Our home is casual, warm, and clean. The upper floor has two bedrooms; one with a king size bed and the other with two twin beds. The bathroom has a clawfoot tub with a shower spray. The main floor has the third bedroom with a queen size bed. It also has a bright living room & dining area. It is lovely to eat by the fireplace, even it is warm weather! The kitchen has a table & a centre island. Our family & friends love to sit here as we prepare & share a meal. The TV/play room is surrounded with windows, nice & bright. The bathroom on this floor has a shower. The laundry facilities are in the basement. Our backyard has a gazebo with a small dining table. A cedar play/swing set is great for children. A separate garage (looks like a small cottage & will be renovated in the future)is also in the back.
Barry (50 years) is a professor at the local university and I (Mary, 40 years)stay at home with our two girls. Monica is 5 years old & Kit is 4 years old. Both girls go to French school and would be very excited about going to France.
Barry is orginally from Alberta and I am from Montreal. We have been in the area for two years. We enjoy exploring the hiking trails, visiting the vineyards, and going to museums.
Our neighbors are wonderful and also love to travel. They would be happy to help you.
We are located 18 km from Niagara Falls (about a 20 minute drive)and about a 20 minute drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake. NOTL is a lovely town with loads of charm, award winning vineyards, and home of the Shaw Festival. Our home is a 45 minute drive to the Buffalo airport; very inexpensive flights to New York City, etc. Fantastic over the border shopping, as well! Toronto (1 hour drive),the most multicultural city in the world, offers endless and exciting events, restaurants, theatre, and museums. Our town, St.Catharines(pop.130 000), offers a farmers market, restaurants, Lake Ontario, and kind people. Our home is about a 10 minute walk to the downtown.
