About our home

Our home is a bright, spacious 12 yr old bungalow with large deck-surround, garden and 1 acre lawn. All pine floors. Equipped kitchen adjoins great room with fireplace and cathedral ceiling. Furniture is new or antique. One queen-bedroom, one double-bedroom, 2 singles. Finished walk-out basement with family room & woodstove. Wheelchair accessible. On tidal-inlet with kayak and swimming at high tide. Ski-hill 45 minute drive.

More about us

We are a semi-retired couple with grown children on their own. We enjoy reading, golf, textile-crafts, walking and travelling - especially keen on travelling to Ireland/Scotland/England/Wales, Portugal/Italy/ Mediterranean, Newfoundland, Scandanavia/Denmark/Netherlands. Two to four travellers-open regarding dates and we would consider a longer-term swap. We have had three successful exchanges so far, and would be very respectful of your home and property.

Neighbourhood

The area is quiet & rural on the northern coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. Car needed: 1-1/2 hour to city & 2 airports; Small towns within 10-45 km. Festivals, crafts, beaches, kayaking & golf in summer, Autumn colours in October, Ski-Wentworth in winter. A quiet, relaxing get-away, central to Nova Scotia/Cape Breton, New Brunswick and P.E.I. This is our 2nd home - sorry, no car left here.
