About our home

We are retired, in our 60's, have done extended travel including many B&B's. Would like to spend Christmas, 2006 near our son in British Columbia.

O T H E R D E S T I N A T I O N S AT ANY TIME.

We designed our simple bungalow for retirement living. A cozy home, 12 years old with large kitchen and open concept. All bedrooms and living area on main floor. Office with internet on lower level. We have a Cadillac DeVille available in our single garage. Large furnished deck with BBQ... small deck in the wooded ravine at the bottom of our lot (limited to 2 chairs & a small table for cozy getaway).

Lew is a retired computer software instructor, Laura is a retired executive secretary. We taught round dancing for over 25 years. We are busier now that we are retired... facilitating a community service program, curling, golfing, singing, cross-stitching, woodworking, walking, enjoying theatre, parks, beach picnics, etc. We have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren who bring a lot of joy into our lives. We enjoy our gardens which are primarily perennial so that they do not tie us down.

Tillsonburg is a town of 15,000... very progressive... home of many retired tobacco farmers. Beautiful country drives in all directions. We retired here from Toronto and have been in love with it for 12 years now. Seems like everyone in this town plays bridge! Near theatres (Stratford & Niagara-on-the-Lake), Casinos (Niagara, Windsor) 2 hrs to Toronto, 3 hrs to Detroit and Pt. Pelee bird migration area. 25 minutes to Lake Erie beach area... 90 minutes to Lake Huron beach area. Many beaches, fishing, shopping, art studios, National Site Museum, restaurants.
