My two story, top floor loft is part of the "Waterworks Lofts"( only ten units in building) which is located diagonally across from the historic Harris Waterworks, one of Toronto's most recognizable architectural gems. It is also a short block to the Beach and Lake Ontario where there is approximately 3 km of sandy beach, a board walk and a bike path that connects to the extensive bike path system that crosses the city. The loft is located in "the Beaches" area, a very beautiful part of the city with many shops, restaurants and amenities. The loft is only steps away from a streetcar stop. It takes approximately 30 minutes to get to the middle of downtown Toronto, directly.
The loft itself is very spacious yet cozy. As it faces south, it is very bright. There is a gas fireplace and comfortable livingroom area. There is also a formal dining table that seats 6. The kitchen has all stainless appliances, and a wine fridges as well as an island with two stools. There is also a two piece bathroom on this level.
Both floors have stunning views of Lake Ontario. The second floor bedroom is very bright with a 50" flat screen TV. The bathroom has a separate shower and tub. There is a walk-in closet with a washer and dryer. The bedroom leads to the spacious terrace that has a Barbecue and seating for six as well as a lounge.
My name is Kevin and I am a retired educator. I am in my mid fifties and very active, whether it be rollerblading, going to the gym or kayaking. I am a gallery/museum/ architecture fanatic. I have travelled quite a bit in the past and lived in Europe for 3 years. I have never done a house exchange but think it is a great idea.
Toronto is an amazing city for many reasons. It has the tourist attractions such as the CN Tower, the galleries and museums of course, but there is so much more. If you like shopping of any kind, Toronto has everything. It has one of the best theatre cultures in the world as well as a very wide selection of clubs for music lovers of all types and countless restaurants and coffee shops. The summer in Toronto also holds countless outdoor attractions such as the Beaches Jazz Festival and the yearly city Art Shows. There is theatre in several parks also. If you are a theatre lover there is also the Stratford festival about an hour and a half away. Also a short car ride from the city is Niagara Falls, some beautiful small towns that are very charming and the Ontario Winery district.
